Counselling Pioneer Joins TCA College

Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 Posted: 4:24:49AM HKT

The founding dean of the counselling department of Singapore Bible College has accepted a position as a lecturer at TCA College.

The Rev Dr Danny Goh has joined the Pentecostal-Charismatic Bible college as one of the five faculty members in its school of counselling, according to the TCA College website.

A Bible-Presbyterian pastor with more than 20 years of teaching and ministry experience, Dr Goh has served in six other educational institutions including seminaries, Bible colleges and a private academy.

He has held positions at the SBC as associate dean of its school of theology English section before he became the dean of the counselling school he founded there.

With a PhD in marriage and family studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, Dr Goh is a founding member of the Association of Marriage & Family Therapy, Singapore and associate member of the Singapore Association for Counselling.

In addition, the TCA College school of counselling has installed an Assemblies of God ministry leader as its new dean.

The Rev Sam Kuna, formerly the executive director of Teen Challenge (Singapore), took up the position from October 1.

Started in 1979 by the former senior pastor of Trinity Christian Centre, TCA College is now the largest Pentecostal/Charismatic accredited institution in Singapore with over 1,000 students.
