The facade of Ngee Ann City.

Come July 2010, Orchard Road will be turned into a carnival and Ngee Ann City transformed into a mini-stadium.

There will be fringe events, performances, live bands and games. Churches will host several smaller carnivals in various parts of the island.

These are some of the attractions planned by Youth More Than Gold to generate awareness and create a buzz for the effort, according to the latest issue of the Singapore Centre for Global Missions newsletter.

In addition to fielding volunteers for the historic event, the Christian chaplaincy and ministry platform for the Singapore Youth Olympic Games will be putting up four shows of the grand finale at the Singapore Expo.

There will be local and international acts and renowned Christian speakers who will present the love of Christ.

Mission event GoFest 2010 will play the role of equipping Christians to engage the community and reach out.
